Suncoast AFP Chapter
The Suncoast Chapter of the AFP, established in 1980, is the largest chapter in the state of Florida. The chapter supports the purposes and goals of AFP to advance philanthropy and fund raising professionalism.
Special emphasis is given to educational programs and training. The chapter promotes standards of professional development leading to certification and support of the professional code of ethics.
Our Chapter:
- Is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors
- Is an affiliate of the AFP International
- Holds monthly meetings on the 3rd Tuesday at noon
- Sponsors an annual National Philanthropy Day event
- Sponsors several Roundtable educational programs every year
- Provides many scholarships to its members
- Participates in the biennial Planet Philanthropy Conference
- Operates a Job Bank of employment opportunities
- Operates Youth-in-Philanthropy and Diversity programs
- Publishes an annual Membership Directory
