Join 4 of the Tampa Bay Area’s key members of charitable foundations in a close up and personal conversation about approaching funders for your organization.  Moderated by Chris Johnson, Director of Programs & Learning for the Florida Philanthropic Network, participants will learn how to identify key values for funders, tailor your message to gain understanding, and create lasting philanthropic relationships.

Payments may be paid in advance or at the door.  Reservations after 12 PM on the Friday before the meeting, and walk-ins, are charged $40 at the door.  No shows will be billed.

SPEAKER BIOS

MICHELLE HAMILTON: Michelle Hamilton is the Regional Community Engagement Specialist for Florida Blue’s West Region. Michelle is responsible for coordinating sponsorships, programmatic grants and events supported by Guidewell, Florida Blue and the Florida Blue Foundation.  Michelle joined Florida Blue in June of 2010.

Michelle has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications from the University of South Florida. She has a background in Marketing and Direct Response Advertising.

Michelle is also a member of the Junior League of Tampa and The University of South Florida’s Women in Leadership and Philanthropy Committee. Michelle has served on the planning committee for the Pediatric Cancer Foundation’s Fashion Funds the Cure fund raising event and on the 2013 selection committee for The Florida Health Literacy Grant Initiative which is funded by the Florida Blue Foundation and operated by the Florida Literacy Coalition.  Michelle was born and raised in Tampa Florida where she resides with her husband, Tracy, new baby boy Ari Dylan and their two dogs Bella and Sydney.

JESSICA GONZALEZ: Jessica joined Allegany Franciscan Ministries in October 2008.  She serves as the Program Officer for the Major and Tau Grant Programs.

Jessica was a member of the 2011 Florida Philanthropic Mentor program and in 2013, Jessica was selected to be part of the Inaugural Class of the Association of Small Foundations (Exponent Philanthropy) NextGen Fellows Program. In 2014 Jessica joined the Junior League of Tampa and is passionate about giving back to the community.

Jessica has a bachelor’s degree from Wellesley College and a master’s degree from the University of Florida.  She spent two summers in Colombia working on her master’s thesis and a winter in New Hampshire working for the Hillary Clinton campaign.  She enjoys traveling, cheering for the Florida Gators and spending time with friends and family.

Kelly Williams-Puccio: Kelly Williams-Puccio is the Executive Director of Publix Super Markets Charities.  Kelly has a B.A. in Business Management from Florida Atlantic University.  She began her Publix career in 1979 while still in high school.  She spent the majority of her career in Human Resources, most recently as Director of Associate Relations.  She has been responsible for managing the Foundation since 2012.

Kelly is a graduate of Leadership Lakeland and the recipient of Publix’s Mr. George Community Service Award, Junior Achievement’s Bronze and Silver Awards, and Girl Scouts of West Central Florida’s Appreciation and Honor Pins.  She can be reached at kelly.williams-puccio@publix.com or 863-680-5251.


Chris Johnson: Christopher Johnson joined FPN in September 2013. In this position he will be responsible for managing the planning and delivery of FPN's programs and other services to meet our members' needs, and will be a key point person for membership recruitment. Christopher was previously Executive Director of the Nonprofit Center of North Central Florida in Gainesville, an organization that he co-founded as the region's first nonprofit resource center. Under his leadership the Center started an annual Nonprofit Summit and Nonprofit Expo and published Alachua County's first State of the Sector report for the nonprofit sector. Prior to this position, Christopher served as Membership Director for the Gainesville Chamber of Commerce. In 2010 he was recognized as a 13 under 30 recipient by North Central Florida's HOME Magazine, and in 2012 he was the national recipient of the Nonprofit Leadership Award by Black Celebrity Giving. A three-time Gator, Christopher received B.S., M.S. and MBA degrees from the University of Florida. He is an active board member with several nonprofits and volunteers frequently.
