We also know that we must engage all the decision-makers. Now, new research is out that says more potential donors want to be part of “group” engagement. Whew. How does a small non-for-profit develop a sustainable suite of opportunities? How does a complex institution with gift officers spread across multiple sites do it? Together we’ll help you turn theory into practice and your involved donors into “extremely engaged.” We’ll explore creative and innovative ways to engage your donors on and off line. Double Your Donors in Two Years
Building a major gift program from the ground up can be a daunting task. How will you get your current donors to give at major gift levels? How will you find enough new donors to invest in your dreams? In this fast-paced, practical session, we will develop a two-year plan to double the number of donors giving to your organization! You will walk away with concrete action steps and lots of motivation.

SPEAKER BIO
Karen loves and believes in the power of philanthropy and nonprofits. She built her career around these passions not only as a frontline fundraiser, speaker, trainer, teacher, consultant and coach but also as a donor, volunteer and board member.
Nationally and internationally recognized, Karen receives invitations from all over the United States and the world. She frequently presents at AFP conferences including AFP International. She serves as a faculty member for the Institute for Charitable Giving, and annually presents for CASE (Council for the Advancement and Support of Education) both at conferences and online.
For 18 of Karen’s 39 years in the profession, she served in senior positions at colleges and universities. For the past 21 years, Karen served first as President and now as Senior Strategist at The Osborne Group. Considered an industry thought leader, Karen has many published articles and blog posts, serves on panels and has numerous videos on You Tube. Industry magazines and blogs often feature her.
CASE awarded Karen the Crystal Apple for Outstanding Teaching and Public Speaking. In 2014, CASE presented Karen with the Ashmore Award for Outstanding Service to the Profession. Karen serves on the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation board and is an adjunct faculty member for Johns Hopkins University’s graduate certificate program in nonprofit management. Karen is also a debut novelist. Literary Magazine, “Poets & Writers” featured “Getting It Right,” published in June 2017, in its Nov/Dec 2017 issue.
